10 Major Stories from 2017 that the Media Buried, Forgot, or Ignored

While you were absorbing – or ignoring – your regular intake of the mainstream media and their political agenda, you may have forgotten a few stories that popped up in the last year that seem to have dropped off the radar.

And that’s just what the media wants you to do – forget that these were even stories or that there are so many questions still left unanswered.

So, courtesy the Daily Wire, here are the top stories that the media forgot, buried or simply ignored in 2017.

  1. The lack of police response during the Charlottesville protest attacks.

We all know what happened –one counter-protester was mowed down by a White Supremacist, but what the media isn’t discussing is that the police allowed a confrontation to develop and even turn violent without doing anything.

The ACLU documented this with a tweet, saying police were told not to intervene “until given command to do so.”

Police Chief Al Thomas was even quoted as saying “let them fight, it will make it easier to declare an unlawful assembly” and shut down the rally.

Clearly, if police had stopped this rally sooner, one young lady might still be alive. The media has largely ignored this.

  1. The Las Vegas Shooting.

It’s been three months since Stephen Paddock shot up a country music festival on the Las Vegas Strip. 58 souls were murdered and another 500 injured.

But the FBI has released scant little information on the case, despite repeated assurances that they would do so. One reporter, the New York Times’ Rukmini Callamachi, thinks ISIS might be behind it, yet nobody is talking about it.

  1. The Podesta Group and their involvement in Mueller’s investigation.

The leftist “Podesta Group” was under investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller back in October, which led to the group reportedly telling its employees that they were closing down.

As rumors begin to swirl that Mueller is getting ready to charge Paul Manafort with tax-related crimes, look for the Podesta Group’s name to pop back up.

  1. Democrat Senator calls for Trump’s assassination

Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal called for the assassination of President Donald Trump back in August. She ultimately deleted the poste, but her post sparked national outrage and calls for her to resign. She apologized, but is still in office.

  1. Obama’s support for Hezbollah

In a stinging report in Politico, it was revealed that the Obama Administration “ended a major federal law enforcement operation that targeted the Iranian-sponsored terrorist group Hezbollah because it wanted to secure a nuclear deal with Iran — a deal that some experts have called a complete ‘joke.’”

Politico writes: “The operation, named Project Cassandra, launched in 2008 after the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) had gathered a substantial amount of evidence that Hezbollah had grown from a ‘military and political organization’ that operated solely in the Middle East into an international criminal enterprise that was earning approximately $1 billion per year from ‘drug and weapons trafficking, money laundering and other criminal activities.’”

  1. Fake News and ignoring Trump’s “wins”

A banner year for Fake News, most came from left-of-center outlets. Whether it’s Trump dumping food in a koi pond or intentionally mischaracterizing his comments, the media is all over the fake news.

To top it off, the media has declared Trump’s first year as a disaster, ignoring his dozens of achievements, from a new Supreme Court justice to a complete re-writing of the tax code in more than 30 years.

  1. The Russia investigation – a big nothingburger.

This has gone on for more than a year, but not a single Democrat – or anyone else for that matter, can point to anything definitive. No collusion and no evidence of collusion. That is all.

  1. IRS targeting conservatives.

The Justice Department under Trump decided not to pursue charges against Lerner for her role in the targeting of conservative nonprofits. Still, it was a huge story that was swept under the rug.

  1. Nancy Peolsi ignores the dangers of ANTIFA, refuses to condemn them. Other Democrats refuse as well.

It took until August 29 for Pelosi to finally condemn the leftist group ANTIFA, who are considered a terrorist organization by many.

The move by Pelosi came after months of violence and chaos spread by the violent hate group in response to President Donald Trump’s election victory. The group claims to be fighting “fascists,” by ironically acting like fascists and silencing everyone they disagree with, which a lot of the time ends up being people who attend free speech rallies.

  1. Uranium One

Last week, Attorney General Jeff Sessions has ordered prosecutors at the Department of Justice to begin interviewing FBI agents about evidence they uncovered in a criminal investigation into a highly-controversial uranium deal that involves Bill and Hillary Clinton.

This is in response to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) requesting that the Justice Department look into them.

Those are just a few of the big stories that have been ignored or swept under the rug by the mainstream media. Can you think of more? Let us know below!
